Our Affiliate Organizations

Delta Kappa Delta Sorority, Inc. is affiliated with two wonderful organizations; UNICEF and C.R.Y. Chapters donate to these organizations annually amongst other charitable organizations. We are affiliated with the organizations below because of our shared vision for a world in which children can thrive, and learn. Many children are not provided the basic necessities to survive; many children around the world are silently abused. While working with these two organizations, Delta Kappa Delta learns more about and brings more awareness to Children's Education and Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention.

UNICEF - Doing Whatever it Takes to Save a Child

UNICEF is a global humanitarian relief organization that provides children with health care, clean water, nutrition, emergency relief, education and more. This organization is involved in over 150 countries and uses funding for humanitarian relief work through fund-raising, advocacy and education in the United States.

There are many ways in which YOU can make a difference with UNICEF. Sign up for email updates to stay on top of the issues affecting the world's children. Tell your legislators that you want them to address children's needs. Volunteer to take action on behalf of the world's children through education, advocacy and fund-raising initiatives. Join the Monthly Pledge Program to help UNICEF deliver services and minimize expenses.

C.R.Y - Child Rights and You America

C.R.Y is a non-government organization in India that partners with other grass-roots NGOs in India to fight for children's rights. They accurately look at every aspect of a childs life (not just narrowed prisms of education, health, child abuse, etc) to find an underlying root cause of children's deprivation. They then equip communities with information and the motivation they need to fight for children's rights and make a sustainable and permanent change. Some of their goals as explained in their Child Rights Charter include: having a universal definition of "child" to all persons under he age of 18, increasing government expenditure on education (10%) and health (5%), passing a law that requires all children between the ages of 6-18 years, without discrimination, to attend school full-time, prohibiting all forms of child labour across sectors including agriculture and much more.
